How has your leadership changed in the digital presence of the church?
What is the greatest challenge you have faced leading in this new age of the church?
---
Join us as we hear from Deacon Jess Liles and Rev. Joe Liles. Leadership looks different now. Today's topic will address 5 Unique Challenges that leaders face in the digital world the church now lives in. Interestingly, we will approach these leadership challenges from two perspectives: churches that operate Sunday-to-Sunday (one day of the week) and churches that embrace the Sunday-to-Monday ministry (every day of the week).
Pastor Joe and Deacon Jess Liles planted The Neighborhood Church (ELCA) in Bentonville, Arkansas, in 2012. The Neighborhood Church has a unique vision to "Change Church. Create Relationship." Changing Church is a reality that moved The Neighborhood from a school cafeteria to a store front in between a Gym and a Mexican restaurant to a horse arena, stable, and barn. The Neighborhood has also embraced change in ministry with Pastor Joe and Deacon Jess establishing relationships with seminaries to create courses and pilot programs for LIFEgroups, church leadership, and bible studies. Currently, they are working on launching The Neighborhood Church University, a collaborative effort to lead and learn alongside the local church through conferences, courses, and curriculum for children's ministry. Pastor Joe and Deacon Jess are surrounded by their two children: Caylee (12), an aspiring singer and volleyball player, and Landen (10), a future youTUBE star. Their favorite time together outside of serving the Lord involves bringing the kids out in the camper to National Parks across the US and taking hikes to secluded waterfalls.
