After serving as a rostered minister (ordained pastor) in the ELCA for 39+ years, Johan retired and rewired and is excited to devote more time to his passion for coaching! Coaching for 18 years, he is skilled at helping leaders and teams move ahead personally and professionally to where they see and feel they need to be. Married, with adult children and two grandchildren, Johan enjoys biking, cello, pickleball, spinning, golf, fitness training, birding, reading and writing. In 2023 he started up and manages a project related to his new book (see below) wherein he invites all to write down their definition/explanation of “The Gospel” in 100 words or less (www.justwhatisthegospelanyway.org). Johan blogs Field Notes from a Religion-Less Christian, housed at beinganddoingmatters.com.

Mission: Cultivating Your Calling
Vision: Nobody Journeys Alone
Coaches connect dreams to concrete actions that create change for individuals and congregations.
The ELCA's offices are located on the ancestral homelands of the Peoria, Bodwéwadmi (Potawatomi), Myaamia (Miami), Očhéthi Šakówiŋ (Sioux), Hoocąk (Ho-Chunk), and Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo) tribal nations. We give thanks for their presence here since time immemorial.
