Sarah has been an ELCA trained coach for since 2021 with a Level 2 training in Congregational Development and Congregational Vitality. After receiving her Doctorate in Ministry in Congregational Mission and Leadership from Luther Seminary in 2017, she recognized a need for coaching for congregational leaders who seek to grow in their development as they discern with their congregations the adaptive change needed for vitality in an ever-changing society. She also has done training in team coaching in order to continue work with congregational teams. Sarah is passionate about walking alongside individuals and teams in order for them to [re]discover their identity and purpose through the gifts of the client already having the expertise and personal strength within them. Former clients have shared their responses with Sarah’s coaching as “affirming,” “a way of accountability,” “exciting ah-has in what God is up to,” “an empowerment,” and, “a time to recognize how one’s posture changes.” Alongside such individual and team coaching, Sarah especially appreciates the gifts of walking alongside pastors new in their formation and call.
