Tom’s passion for coaching stems from a time of transition and his experience of a coach who believed in him when he doubted himself. The new perspectives he received guided him as a manager in corporate America and as a certified youth and family minister, an ordained pastor, intern supervisor and conference dean in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
Tom partners with persons and teams to clarify values in pursuit of goals worthy of their lives. His coaching sessions are nonjudgmental, confidential, creative spaces that lead to transformation. Clients develop action steps, identify accountability partners, and celebrate accomplishments of every size.
Tom volunteers as a Life Recovery Coach at GIFTS men’s shelter in Janesville, WI. In 2023, he'll publish, Our Brains Mean Well: Lies We Tell Ourselves and How to Hear the Truth and in 2024 a science fiction novel centered on the opioid epidemic titled, The United States of Heroin.
Tom and his wife have two grown children. They share their home with Samoyeds, Lucy and Dwight, and cats, Winston and Koa. Tom enjoys skiing, cycling, kayaking, and hiking.
