As faith leaders, many of us desire to share powerful stories of God moving in our lives, and we also fear being lumped in with those that present God as a vengeful judge waiting to pounce on any indiscretion (which is labeled as such by a specific sect of humans) and weaponize scripture in a way that divides instead of unifies and harms instead of building up.
